BBC reporter arrested by Iranian intelligence agents

BBC reporter arrested by Iranian intelligence Tehran: Iranian intelligence agents have arrested an individual who is alleged to have been working secretly for the Persian language service of the BBC for spreading lies about Islamic republic and making attempts to manipulate Iranian public opinion.

As per international media reports Hassan Fathi who was arrested had been cooperating as a reporter with the Persian language service of the BBC for a long time. A few days ago, Fathi contacted the BBC Persian Television and expressed views in support of the allegations that Israel has repeatedly made against Iran.

The Persian language service of the BBC has no office in Tehran, and judicial authorities have prohibited cooperating with the BBC. On September 9, it was reported that Iranian intelligence agents had arrested some members of a network who worked secretly for the BBC.

The people received huge amount of money from the BBC secretly for reporting anti-revolutionary news. The network provided the British Broadcasting Corporation with video and negative news reports about the Islamic Republic.
