Case filed against Saif

saif ali khan Mumbai: A case has been registered against actor Saif Ali Khan who is alleged to have assaulted a man at Wasabi in the Taj Hotel. The case has been registered by S Iqbal, who states that the actor broke his nose in a scuffle that broke out between them at the hotel. Sources say the actor is likely to show up at the Colaba police station around 8 pm. The Mumbai police will decide whether to arrest the actor after interrogation.

Sources state that actor Kareena Kapoor was with him when the fight broke out therefore her statement shall also be recorded. The actor and his friends have been booked under IPC 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention). Kareena’s sister, Karisma, and actress Amrita Arora were also at the restaurant with Saif and Kareena.

The victim Iqbal Sharma, a South African businessman of Indian origin, told the police that he was having dinner with his family at the restaurant last night. The actor and his friends were seated at the next table. The actor and his friends were talking loudly and creating a din. Iqbal asked them to speak softly.

The actor and his friends got enraged, and following a heated argument, attacked him. Khan allegedly told him to go to a library if he wanted peace and quiet. Sharma said Saif and his two associates allegedly rained blows upon him fracturing his nose.
