SC bans use of tinted glass in motors beyond permissible limit

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday banned the use of tinted glass, restricting visions beyond permissible limit as fixed under the Motor Vehicles Act, in vehicles. The apex court has asked the state governments to frame guidelines for the use of tinted glasses for security purposes.

Indigenous satellite Risat 1 successfully launched

Sriharikota: Indigenous satellite Risat 1 was successfully carried into space by PSLV-C19, the newest in the series of polar satellite launch vehicles of the Indian Space Research Organisation, at exactly 5.47 a.m from the launch-pads of ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, in Andra Pradesh. It will be placed in a polar circular orbit. At around 17 minutes into the flight, PSLV-C19 delivered Risat-1 into a polar circular orbit at an altitude of 480 km and an orbital inclination of 97.552 degrees

Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister PK Abdu Rabb announced the SSLC results for this academic year. A new record was set with 93.64% of the candidates registering a win without the help of moderation. A 2.29 % hike has been registered when compared to that of the previous year.6995 students secured A plus in all subjects. This academic year 4.7 lakh students appeared for the SSLC exams.
