Childrens festival at Nalanda begins

childrens-film-festivalKozhikode: The curtain rises on the fourth edition of the State – level Children’s film festival at Nalanda auditorium today. 33 young directors would screen their films today. The films draw the attention of the civic society to the concerns and anxieties of the youngsters world. Primary, secondary and senior secondary school students will take part in the festival. According tho the final list released by the State Institute of Educational Technology that conducts the festival, young directors from the secondary and the senior secondary classes will present 12 films each.

” The children’s film festival has a comprehensive content that will cover core academic topics and a variety of subjects raging from adulteration, pollution and issues more relevant to the young such as substance abuse, child labour, problems of the girl child, child- centred education, and disability, ” Babu Sebastian, Director of SEIT said. 138 films will be screened, 3000 student delegates will participate and another 105 films directed by various institutions with children theme will be screened.

Unnikkuri, Love plastic, Beyondthe blue light, Pennu, The Slab, Veendum, The Real Life are some of the movies that will be screened.
