CM apologizes for Ganesh Kumar’s vulgar statements

Oommen-Chandy-CmThiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy apologized before the Legislative Assembly for Ganesh Kumars Vulgar statements regarding Opposition leader V S Achuthananthan. Kerala Forest Minister K B Ganesh Kumar called the Opposition leader is a sex maniac and womanizer at a public meeting organized by his party, Kerala Congress(B), at Pathanapuram in Kollam district. Ganesh Kumar has been asked to retract his derogatory, unsavory and defamatory statements regarding the senior leader and former Chief Minister.

“Ganesh Kumar’s such proclamations very unfortunate. This incident unnecessary and avoidable. The minister has not reflected the view of the entire ruling party. His statements were his personal views.  I have asked Minister Ganesh Kumar to retract his statements,” Chief Minister said.

Koodiyeri Balakrishna demanded the suspension of Ganesh Kumar from the Legislative Assembly. He reminded the Chief Minister today that Balakrishnan Pillai was once suspended from Assembly when he made derogatory statements against K Karunakaran. The speaker however stated that a minister can be suspended only for his behaviour in the Legislative Assembly.

The opposition party raised slogans and created ruckus in the assembly demanding the suspension of  Minister Ganesh Kumar. The legislative assembly has been suspended for the day.
