Delhi High court adjourns Kanimozhi’s bail plea

kanimozhiNew Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday adjourned, till December 1, hearing on the bail plea of DMK MP Kanimozhi and three others, arrested for their alleged roles in the 2G spectrum allocation case. As per reports, the High Court also issued a notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file its reply on the bail pleas of Kanimozhi and other accused latest by December 1.

Besides, the High Court also sought a report from the Tihar jail authorities on the health condition of Bollywood producer Karim Morani, a co-accused in the case. Kanimozhi daughter of DMK chief M Karunanidhi and seven others accused in the 2G spectrum case. Kanimozhi who has been in Tihar jail since May 20,2011 for accepting bribes, criminal conspiracy to cheat the exchequer and criminal breach of trust and she will now return to jail. She has been charged with helping former Telecom Minister A Raja, also from her party, of accepting a 214-crore kickback.
