Getting used to empty gossips: Richa

Richa-GangopadhyayChennai: Actress Richa Gangopadhyay has slammed a recent report that claimed that she had rejected actor Vijay’s film.“I was not approached for any film with Vijay. I don’t even know the director or the producer of the film. People are assuming that I have rejected his film. But the truth is I was not approached for the film formally. I haven’t met anyone from the team nor have I heard the script,” she clarified to a tabloid.

The actress, who is currently shooting for a Bengali film, which is a remake of Siruthai, is upset over such false reports. She said, “Initially, when I had signed Susi Ganesan’s Hindi film, Shortcut Romeo, there were reports that claimed that I had rejected Vijay’s film because of my Hindi project. Later, even when I walked out of Susi’s project because of date problems, people still kept  stating that I had rejected Vijay’s film. In fact, a few publications even went to the extent of fabricating  stories on Vijay’s film about which I have no clue at all.”

The Mayakkam Enna actress, who is no stranger to such gossip problems, feels that such rumours are part of stardom. Says she, “I’m getting used to such rumours. I feel people should be patient and not assume things. It’s my duty to clarify about these rumours. I would love to work with actor Vijay or director Susi Ganesan in the future. That is, of course, after deciding on the role and script.”
