Girl’s suicide has no connection with ice cream palour sex case: CM

Oommen Chandy Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Minister Ommen Chandy stated that the suicide of the two girls from Kozhikode had no connection with the ice cream palour case. According to him, Pillai has not investigated the case and the report submitted in the court was investigated by Jayson Abraham. The members of the CPM-led opposition demanded for an adjournment motion to discuss the death of the two girls which is alleged to have connection with the ice cream palour case. The speaker however, rejected the appeal for adjournment motion.

“This is a 15 year old case. Of the 15 years the opposition was in ruling for 9 years. Even then they never showed such interest in this case. This is only an attempt to make this case a controversy. The Assistant Commissioner Radhakrishnan Pillai has not submitted a report stating that there is no need for re-investigation. The report is that of Jaison K Abraham who investigated into the case. The report was submitted by Krishna Pillai along with Jaison Abraham’s covering letter,” the Chief Minister said.

He added that, the post mortem report was not misplaced and such news was only rumours. The first child was not abused. The second girl could not be subjected to medical inspection due to her injuries. The Assistant Commissioner Radhakrishnan Pillai’s report on the suspicious death of two girls in relation to the ice cream palour case was rejected by the court yesterday.
