Gulbarg massacre: SIT submits report

narendra-modiAhmadabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the Supreme Court to probe the Ehsan Jafri case has submitted its final report in a sealed cover to a magistrate’s court.  The report was compiled in connection with the complaint filed against Chief Minister Narendra Modi by Zakiya Jafri, the wife of slain Congress MP Ehsaan Jafri.

Though the contents of the report were concealed crime branch sources have claimed that the SIT hasn’t found enough evidence against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. However, the SIT officials haven’t offered any confirmation on this.

“If this is true this is shocking development because SIT has enough evidence, which it refuses to investigate, deliberately ignoring. However, I would also like to say that our final reaction would be after we see the report. What we want to know is what judiciary would do. We would like to take our petition from the sessions court to HC,” Social activist Teesta Setalvad said.

“Amicus Raju Ramachandran apprently has found some value in the complaint regardless of that, we know that there is lot of evidence of comlicity. We can’t understand the hostility of SIT to record some of the evidence,” Teesta added.
