Ice cream scandal: Case diary and progress report submitted

kerala-high-courtKochi: The Ice Cream Parlour Sex Scandal case diary and the investigation progress report has been submitted before the High Court by the Government. The Kerala High Court has postponed the hearing of the plea filed by Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan seeking a CBI probe into the sensational ice cream parlour case in Kozhikode. The hearing of the petition would be held on Monday only after checking the diary and the report in detail.

The Court said the allegations of the former CM, Achuthanandan regarding Kunhalikutty’s capability of ‘purchasing’ witnesses using his money power and influence, cannot be brushed aside. According to Achuthanandan, during the past seven months, no investigation was done in the case registered on the basis of statements by KA Rauf, who later fell out of Kunhalikutty’s favour. Rauf had alleged that Kunhalikutty used money power to influence witnesses, prosecutors, social workers and judicial officers to escape from the ice cream parlour sex case.
