Kozhikode suicide case: MES Principal’s shocking revelations

kozhikode suicide caseKozhikode: “The police has never taken my official statement, be it in the former investigation or the recent investigation”, said MES Principal, Seethalakshmi. She was talking in relation to the suspicious suicide of two girls at Kozhikode.  The police had gone to the college after the death of the children. As a part of the investigation they had questioned some of their close friends and students. The students statements however, were never recorded.

Even the current investigation team has never spoken or recorded the statements of the college authorities. She said that the children were ideal students who studied well and were also good singers. “On the fateful day the children sang songs during the last period. They even cried. Even though the teachers inquired as to why they cried they did not give ant answers,” she added.

The police in their investigation report had stated that the children committed suicide because of their inseparable relationship that the two girls shared. The principal however rejected this statement. EMS college students Sibana Sunny and Sunaina Najmal jumped before a running train and committed suicide on October 26, 1996.
