KSRTC strike cancelled

Ksrtc strike Thiruvananthapuram: The KSRTC employees have withdrawn its  strike following a discussion between the leaders and the Transport Minister, VS Sivakumar, here today. After the discussion, the Minister promised that 3272 employees taken by the KSRTC under the empanel system has been give regular postings. Minister also said that now no new bus allots for Sabarimala service, but it will allot only in step by step process.

A section of KSRTC workers had decided to go on a strike. They had demanded a pay scale revision and to improve the Shabarimala services. The strike was to continue till this midnight. Since Shabarimala Mandala kalam will begin from Thursday, sincere efforts were being made to resolve the issue at the earliest. The strike is being organized under the leadership of KSRTC employees Association. The Transport minister shall hold discussions with the KSRTC employees today.
