Manmohan Singh expressed his condolonce

Manmohan SinghNew Delhi: Expressing his condolences on the death of Apple co-founder and for CEO Steve Jobs, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, said he was deeply saddened to learn of the demise of Steve Job’s.

“He was truly an innovative man and taught us new ways to connect and communicate,” the Prime Minister said. Mr. Jobs, the visionary co-founder of Apple who revolutionized the world of technology, died on Wednesday at the age of 56.

The Silicon Valley icon, who gave the world the iPod and the iPhone, resigned as CEO of the world’s largest technology corporation in August this year, handing the reins to current chief executive Tim Cook. Jobs had battled pancreatic cancer in 2004 and underwent a liver transplant in 2009 after taking a leave of absence for unspecified health problems. He took another leave of absence in January – his third since his health problems began – and officially resigned in August.
