Minister car rammed into three and killed 2

2 killed, Minister car accident Kochi: Kerala Minister KC Joseph’s car rammed into three people killing two and leaving one injured at Angamaly yesterday night.The accident occurred when Kerala’s Rural Development, Planning and Information Minister was on his way to Nedumbasserry airport from Thrissur.The minister, who was to catch a flight to Delhi, cancelled his trip, police said.

A case has been registered against the car driver under Sections 279 and 304 (A) of IPC for rash and negligent driving causing the death of two persons, police sources said. The people who met with the mishap were crossing the road. Th locals who witnessed the incident stated that the minister’s car was moving at high speed. The minister however attempted to justify the accident by claiming that it was too dark and thus could not see the pedestrians who were crossing the road.
