Mullaperiyar:TN submits petition in SC against Kerala Gvt

suprem-court-of-indiaNew Delhi:  Tamil Nadu government has taken the Mullaperiyar case to the Supreme Court. It has petitioned that “The Kerala government is spreading panic among the public about the safety of the Mullaperiyar Dam which is not true.” J Jayalalithaa’s government has asked the court to stop officials in Kerala from commenting on the possible construction of a new dam.

According the Tamil Nadu Kerala politicians are merely creating fear psychosis among the people for political mileage. They have asked the court to issue a prohibitory order against all those who recommend the construction of a new dam. According to the Tamil Nadu government no other authority other than Kerala officials are creating a false rumor of the urgency to build a new dam.

Tamil Nadu Water Resource Ministry submitted petition before the Supreme Court against the Kerala government. In the petition they have criticized the speeches made by the Chief Minister. They have requested the Supreme Court to find a solution to the given problem at the earliest.
