Oommen Chandy must resign: Pinarayi

pinarayi vijayanThiruvananthapuram: The CPM state secretary, Mr Pinarayi Vijayan, has demanded the resignation of the Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. He stated that Oomen Chandy being an accused in the Pamolein case has no right to continue as the Chief  Minister of Kerala.

CPM secretary in his adress to the public at the dharna demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister being held at Thiruvananthapuram, added that a CM who is under vigilance enquiry should not continue in his post.

Though the CM has been found guilty in the Pamolein case the UDF continues to give strange arguments to retain him as the CM. Today Mr Oomen Chandy is undertaking an inquiry against himself he added.

If the Chief minister is included under the aegis of Lokayukta at state level, he questioned as to why, the PM cannot come under the Lokpal. However, he also added that he did not consider Lokpal as the panacea for corruption.With regard to the Justice Sen impeachment he stated that a judicial commisiion needs to be put in place to deal with all judicial irregularities.
