P C George holds office of profit

P C GeorgeNew Delhi: The governor has received legal advice that claims that Chief Whip designation of P C George  can be disqualified on the ground of holding offices of profit. Lawyer D B Banu had filed a complaint under the Right to Information Act.

The governor has sought the advice of the election commission.  P C George has been found to have been holding dual posts. There is enough reasons to disqualify him from the post. State Election Commission has send a notice to Sebastian Paul who has filed the petition against the Chief whip. The commission has demanded the submission of further evidence against the chief whip. the comission has given two weeks time for the submission of all essential documents.
