V S to approach Supreme Court

opposition leader V S achuthanandan- on pathmanabhaswamy temple issueThiruvananthapuram: “I shall approach the Supreme Court” the State Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan said here, today.V S Achthanandan claimed that he shall approach the Supreme court to present matters regarding the Padmanabhaswamy temple. The opposition leader made his staement at a Dharana demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy held at Thiruvananthapuram, today.

He justified his controversial comments against Royal family alleging that the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple treasure was being smuggled out of the temple by the members of the royal family. Speaking to the reporters here,  he added that his comments were on the basis of a compliant handed over to him by a temple security guard.

Opposition leader had earlier opined that the royal family was spreading false rumours that disaster shall  befall if the ‘B’ vault was opened.

The revelation comes at a time when the Royal family moved the Supreme Court on Friday, seeking direction not to open vault B, as such a step would hurt the sentiments of many devotees.The petition also requested not to allow video recording of the treasure trove found inside the other chambers of the temple. The plea pointed out that opening of the B cellar would affect the traditional temple rituals.
