Plantation Corporation refuses land for endosulfan victims

Kasargode: Plantation Coorporation(PCK) workers have refused to hand over land for the rehabilitation of  endosulfan victims. The Plantation Corporation Samrakshana Samithi said that they were even ready to put up a legal battle.

The people representative and Jilla Panchayath had send a request to the Chief Minister, seeking land from Plantation Corporation for the rehabilitation of the victims. An expert committee had stated that 33 acres of land in the Mooliyar division of Kasargode estate was best suited for rehabilitaion. The secretary of Agricultural department demanded the land based on this report of the expert committee. PCK expressed their discontent on the  study of their land which was done without their knowledge.  PCK claims that the said land has been kept aside for one of their new projects. The fate of the victims is in a quagmire.
