Protest in Munnar:TN wants Idukki

Idukki-to-TamilnaduMunnar: Intense protest was witnessed in Munnar by people of Tamil origin demanding the inclusion of Idukki as a part of Tamil Nadu. The protest was organized without the police permission. More than 500 people participated in the protest. Yesterday two Tamil Nadu MP’s – J M Haroon and M B S Chitham – met the Prime Minister asking him to adjoin Idukki to Tamil Nadu. Chithan however, claimed today that he had made no such demands. Conducting referendum is not Congress policy, he added.

Revenue minister Thiruvanjoor Radhakrishnan said the demand of the  Tamil Ministers are a complete blunder. “Idukki was a part of Kottayam and Idukki. The ministers from Kerala will bring this matter up before the Central government when they are in Delhi” , he said.

i will be happy if Idukki become part of tamilnadu, as majority population is tamil speaking, also considering the pitiable condition of native tamils in idukki, losing their self respect for being part of kerala.
This could be a solution for mullaiperiyar issue also.

You should be ashamed to call an “Indian” ! What majority you are talking about??? In that case all MLA’s from Idukki should have been Tamilians! Hope you know the story of Camel and Arab!
