SC to consider Madani’s bail plea

abdul nazar madani New Delhi: The bail petition of PDP chairman Abdul Nasser Madani who is the accused in the Bangalore blast shall be considered by the Supreme Court today. The bench comprises of Justice Chelameshwar and Sadashivam. Advocate Susheel Kumar, J L Gupta and Adolf Mathew shall appear before the Supreme Court bench on behalf of Madani.

Susheel Kumar had requested the court to grant interim bail to Madani who is handicapped and suffering from various health problems. According to Susheel Kumar Madani who was previously accused in another case spent 9 years in jail. After 9 years he was acquitted in the Coimbatore blast case. According to his advocate he was being ill treated. This kind of ill treatment meted out to Madani is a against India legal ethic and laws.

On May 13, 2011 the Supreme Court had given an order for Madani’s treatment. After May 13, this is for the first time that the apex court is considering Madani’s bail plea.
