Thrissur koothambalam destroyed in fire

fireThrissur: The Sangeetha Nadaka Academy’s Koothambalam, near Ramanilayam, Thrissur caught fire and was completely destroyed. Even before the fire brigade could contain the fire, the Koothambalam was totally destroyed. The government had spent crores of rupees to build the Koothambalam that was still under construction. The Koothambalam caught fire even the work was in progress.

The Koothambalam was completely constructed of  teak wood. The government is said to have spent one and a half crore’s on the Koothambalam. The fire was noticed by a local passerby who immediately alerted the fire brigade of the disaster. The reason of the fire is still unknown. Authorities claim there is no chance of a short circuit to have caused the fire out break. Investigation into the cause of the fire has begun.
