TN cancells bus to Kerala

bus-strikeCoimbatore: Fearing attacks on transport vehicles  crossing the border, the Tamil Nadu state Transport Corporation cancelled its bus service from Coimbatore to Kerala creating discomfort for passengers. The authorities claimed that they had received information that  buses with Tamil Nadu registration were being attacked by Mullaperiyar protestors. The services to Palakkad, Thrissur, and Guruvayoor were cancelled. The official sources said the decision had been taken keeping the safety of passengers in mind.

Shops , bakeries and eateries run by Keralites in Tirupur district closed shop for two days, condemning the attitude of Kerala on the dam issue. Keralites working in Tamil Nadu have appealed to the Kerala government to allow people from Kerala to earn their livelihood and live peacefully in Tamil Nadu by not inciting violence against Tamils in Kerala.
