Though the court has passed an interim order to the police not interfere with civil dispute, and it further directed the DSP as to whether any case was pending against the directors. When the matter came up before Justice V Ramasubramanian, a counter affidavit was filed on behalf of A Asra Garg.

In his counter affidavit, he said one V V Subramaniam of Uthangudi in Othakadai Police station had presented a petition stating that his family owns a trust by name ‘Nagar Alayam Trust’ for around 80 years. He alleged that on July 20, 2001, one Martin of Coimbatore (lottery dealer) transferred the trust property around 17 acres into his name with the help of revenue and other officials of the collectorate. Later, on March 8, 2010, above said Martin transferred and registered a part of this trust property in the name of  Kandhi Alagiri, wife of MK Alagiri. He also alleged that since he is objecting to this transaction, the close aides of MK Alagiri are threatening the family members of the complainant.

” We have perused records in this transaction and enquiry reveals that the dispute is purely civil and does not reveal any criminal offence,” the SP added. Asra Garg further said since petition was given, enquiry was conducted to verify it. Similarly, the claim of the petitioner that the police officials are harassing them and maligning their name in the society by using the media to propagate false news articles is totally false, he contended.
