Shabarimala online registration
Shabarimala: Through online registration 1000 devotees can have comfortable darshan in an hour’s time, said Shabarimala Police Chief cordinator Additional DGP Chandrashekar. The first batch of pilgrims who had registeres their names under the newly introduced e-registration for the “virtual queue” system for darshan at the temple reached the Sannidhanam from Thrissur yesterday night.
Mr Chandrashekaran said the website www.sabarimala.keralapolice.gov.in had been receiving an encouraging response for e-registration from pilgrims across South India. As many as 8,500 pilgrims had registered their names.
While registering online one can easily choose the specific date and time of ones own choice. The print out copy of the online registration form along with ones photograph and original of identity proof should be kept in ones hand. Those who have these documents shall be allowed to pass through the Chandrananthan road. Those with online registration forms have a separate queue system. Those who have not registered via online would have to maintain the general queue system. The added advantage for those registered online is that they would not have to stay in queue for more than 1 hour.
