Yuvraj Singh to return home on April 9th

New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh, will be returning back home on April 9th after successfully completing his treatment for cancer. He is expected to address the media on 11 April, where he would divulge the details of his treatment in the USA and his future course of action. Mr Yuvaraj who is currently in London, was diagnosed with a rare sort of germ cell cancer (Stage-I) in his left lung a couple of months back. He was treated in Boston’s Cancer Research Institute in America.

After completing the third and final cycle of chemotherapy, he was discharged on March 18. Though he is far from complete good health, he has undergone successful treatment in the US and is back on the road to recovery. Yuvaraj Singh who is primarily a left-handed batsman is the the son of former Indian fast bowler and Punjabi movie star Yograj Singh.  He has been a member of the Indian cricket team since 2000 (ODIs) and played his first Test match in 2003. He was the vice-captain of the ODI team from late-2007 to late-2008.
